So, tell me why this is, cuz it doesn't make sense to me......
My Symetrix weather is scrolling the wind speed, which states:
"28 mph with 24 mph gusts"
The gusts are slower than the wind speed. Huh???

As I understand it...the wind speed is the steady speed and the gust is the increase over the steady speed. 28+24=52mph gusts.

Ohhhhhhh....... That would make sense.
I thought the gust was the peak speed of the wind, whereas wind speed is the sustained wind.
