Myrrander first mentioned this Alaskan bridge pork barrel some time ago. In another blogsite, which I shall not make known, it was just brought up again. When are people going to wake up to the absolute criminal activities of this administration. It's a government gone awry, completely.

It starts:

How can you have $250 Million dollars for a bridge in Alaska that services 2000 people and you can't complete a levee project in NO to protect the people and infrastructure of one of the most important regions in the country? This doesn't even touch the rest of the pork in this bill. Congress is as stupid as dumbya is. 2006 is a time for change. Don't forget the state and local level legislators and the state secretary are MORE important to the future of our country than federal legislators.

Followed by:

This whole thing runs downhill from the Whitehouse through RNC. Halliburten was given an additional 1.1 Billion over budgeted projects in Iraq for 2006 making their total take 4.97 Billion. So why wouldn't the rest of Congress follow Cheney's Lead.

No one seems to care that a KBR employee will be sentenced to jail in a few months having been convicted of taking bribes. No one seems to care that Abranoff and Kidan were sleeping with RNC heiracy while they conspired to takeover an offshore gambling fleet out of Broward County Fla. and are probably responsible for getting the past owner murdered. No one seems to care that Strykker vehicles manufactured by General Dyanmics were full of defects when deployed to Iraq.

Your best bet is to hammer McCain and a few others that urge fiscal restraint and let the press know about Pork Barrel Projects.

to be fair you could point out all the democratic pork too dabe.

wasting tax money is a non partisan game both sides play and it is wrong no matter who is doing it.

Mod, I don't disagree with you. I'm merely pointing out this specific example of pork barreling, because it is so relevant right now. And, I'm pointing out the mindset of those who supported it. I do hold the republicans in the white wash, I mean house, accountable, as well as the misfit republicans in congress.
