A beginner's work in progress.......
CBS Poll
Published on October 7, 2005 By dabe In Politics
Seems that according to CBS, dubya dumbass' ratings are hitting new lows. Before you all get all wadded up that polls are meaningless, I'm sure that if it was the other way around, you'd be posting the results every freakin' day. So please, spare me the hypocrisy. In fact, the neocon loving hypocrites are a distinct minority in this country now. About goddamm time. Some people are just a little slower to see what's right before their faces than others.

Some poll results:

DIRECTION OF THE COUNTRY
Right Direction : 28%
Wrong Track: 69%

PRESIDENT BUSH'S JOB APPROVAL
Approve: 37% all respondents
Disapprove: 58% all respondents

DOES PRES. BUSH SHARE YOUR PRIORITIES FOR THE COUNTRY?
Yes: 32%
No: 65%

Those are the first questions. There are quite a few more at the site. dumbya is tanking and the country isn't buying into his shit anymore, except a few die-hards, and repubs who are hanging on to some failed agenda that clearly ain't workin'. Our neocon boy is in trouble.

Our neocon boy is in trouble.

Glad he is yours too.  But you still fail to realize that he cannot run for President again.

Come on man, you know that poll ratings are meaningless unless they're favorable to President Stupid.

The reason many don't uses polls as evidence is because of the wildly swinging numbers. Of five polls taken last week, the results are 37, 43, 40, 45, and 45. Link That would be an average of 42%.

While you cherry picking the low number from CBS (no wonder), others could pick the two highest and say the opposite placing him only 2% points below when he got elected. That is why people on JU have started to ignore opinion polls.

Also as I said in another thread, until the Democrats or other Republican offer a less evil person, he will stay the top dog. You don’t have to like him to vote for him, especially with what the Democrats have to offer.

Good for you! At this, rate you'll finally have run him out of office by, say, January of 2008.

The measure of a leader has nothing to do with whether they get "hammered" or not, but how they rise above the "hammering". I guess to you leadership has more to do with popularity than anything else.

Does that somehow make it better?

Better? Who said anything about better? You are the first.

it means he does not care about Polls. He is not Bill Clinton.

The main problem with Bush is that he's an idiot.  He's also a very bad politician and I think will go down in history as being one of the worst Presidents.

He's alienated his base and liberals already hate him.  He's a shallow, small minded man that is totally out of his depth as President.

What is really sad is that given how pathetic Bush is, the Democrats couldn't muster anyone better.

btw Dabe, congratulations on getting Featured!!

If Bush were going to stand for election again, you might have something to crow about. But this won't have much effect on 2008 with a fresh GOP challenger. America still holds to many conservative values, and I don't think any Democrat has the answers they want to hear.
