Rather than get your skewed information about global warming from political websites, particularly conservative think tank sites, I invite you to learn about global warming from the scientific experts. They do not have political axes to grind when they discuss global warming and sea level rise, except as it relates to the Bush White Wash, I mean House attempts to skew and supress scientific reports. As an environmental professional working predominantly in the field of coastal zone manage...

An observation I have made here is that whenever people post political stuff here, particularly those who post Democratic or Pro-Kerry arguments, many here insist upon citations, otherwise categorically dismissing a Democrat's claim as liberal lies and propoganda. Then, they merrily go about there ways posting the most Pro-Bush stuff without any citations, but the stuff is accepted without question. I came across this article this evening, complete with citations, that lists 100 FACTS t...

I'm reprinting this article here because I just know in my heart how utterly wrong and futile the war in Iraq is, how much of a disaster it was from the beginning, what a travesty and shameful chain of events that we, the United States of America, has perpetrated upon the Iraqi people. Bob Herbert described it so eloquently. A War Without Reason By BOB HERBERT Published: October 18, 2004 http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/18/opinion/18herbert.html?oref=login&hp "Facing clear evidence ...

Today, the New York Times enthusiastically endorsed John Kerry for president. A summary, in part: "The Bush White House has always given us the worst aspects of the American right without any of the advantages. We get the radical goals but not the efficient management. The Department of Education's handling of the No Child Left Behind Act has been heavily politicized and inept. The Department of Homeland Security is famous for its useless alerts and its inability to distribute antiterrori...

I'm not usually a big fan of Thomas Friedman, but I think this is an excellent article: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/14/opinion/14friedman.html?hp Just felt like sharing....................

The level of hypocrisy exhibited by the Bush/Cheney regime is sickening. The fact that Cheney and Halliburton provided assistance to Saddam to sidestep and abuse the oil for food program is something they really don't want us to know. http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1012-33.htm The Bush/Cheney regime and the republican camp sickens me. Their hypocrisy is endless.

after reading this short and concise history of an American Company, you HAVE to start wondering about our commander in chief. http://www.fromthewilderness.com/free/ww3/10_09_01_carlyle.html Scary stuff. But, very, very real. Education is our only hope.......... Kerry '04

In case you've never seen this fabulous poem, Dubya's drivelling compiled by a reporter (who's name eludes me): MAKE THE PIE HIGHER by George W. Bush I think we all agree, the past is over. This is still a dangerous world. It's a world of madmen and uncertainty and potential mental losses. Rarely is the question asked Is our children learning? Will the highways of the Internet become more few? How many hands have I shaked? They misunderestimate me. I am a pitbull on the pa...

This is an amazing article.: http://www.nytimes.com/2004/10/03/international/middleeast/03tube.html?hp Even if you don't like the man, John F. Kerry, you have to acknowledge that most of what makes a successful administration is the kind of people a president surrounds himself with, who his advisors and his cabinet will be made of.. One would question that Bush may not have known about what Cheney, Rice, Powell, etc. were drumming up. But, come on. He selected them, particularly Che...

I'm relatively new here, so I ask this question. It seems the more people post, the more points they get. The more people reply to their posts, the more points they get. The points add up, and we climb up some kind of ladder of "success". For what reason? Why are we keeping score? Do we get awards? Are they worth money.? I like money.

Yesseree, Bob. Or, Joe. Or whatever. The politics are heating up here, and that's a good thing. Good open discourse is good. Discussion of issues is good. I noticed that there is a link at the bottom of the home page to contribute to the RNC. How 'bout a link to the DNC, also? How about making this a site wherein all sides are welcome? What do you say, Joe? Errr..... I mean, Brad?

"A DAY IN THE LIFE OF JOE REPUBLICAN"Joe gets up at 6 a.m. and fills his coffeepot with water to prepare his morning coffee. The water is clean and good because some tree-hugging liberal fought for minimum water-quality standards. With his first swallow of water, he takes his daily medication. His medications are safe to take because some stupid commie liberal fought to ensure their safety and that they work as advertised. All but $10 of his medications are paid for by his employer's medical plan...
